What we do

Four ways we share the work of neighbors

Most of our week is spent on quiet, repeating tasks that keep people connected across the street or down the road. Here is where the time goes.

Weekly

garden watering

Monthly

kindness days

Ongoing

school visits

Shared spaces

Soil and classrooms

Tuesdays

The pollinator and vegetable garden

We tend raised tomato beds and sunflowers together every Tuesday evening. Whatever grows is shared freely, and we leave extra produce on the wooden bench at the corner for whoever happens to walk by.

In schools

Practical empathy workshops

We visit elementary classrooms to talk about quiet ways to help on the playground, noticing when a classmate sits alone, and practicing patience when things feel heavy.

Close to home

Packages and porch steps

When new parents come home from the hospital, or an older neighbor recovers from surgery, we drop off simple meals and care packages at the front door without making a fuss. It is just soup, bread, and a note left on the porch.

On the third Saturday of each month, our Kindness Days bring a few people with rakes, paintbrushes, and toolboxes to help clear overgrown yards, mend broken fence boards, or patch steps for folks who need an extra pair of hands.

Join us on a Tuesday evening or a Saturday morning

We always have room for another pair of hands in the garden or around the neighborhood.
